"Don't Ever Burn Your Bridges"
Sometimes,in life, God blesses us with wonderful friends and families, and if we're smart, we'll count our blessings and cherish the people that God has placed in our lives and not take advantage of them. For some of us taking advantage of someone is an easy thing, because we don't have the love of God in our hearts. If we have a heart, that would mean we also have a conscience, which convicts us of any wrong doing. I have seen good hearted people get used and abused, over and over again, myself including, until I woke up and took heed. I don't think people realize what a blessing they have, when they have special people in their lives that will help them through any crisis and be there when they're in dire need of a helping hand. If you have friends and family that's constantly there for you, pushing and pulling you to the top, then you should thank them and never get so high up on the rungs of the ladder, that you forget where you came from.
Sometimes, we are so blessed that we forget our humble beginnings and forget the people that help us succeed in being where we are. I was always taught that you never burn the bridge that brought you over, because you might need the the same bridge just to get back a cross. That's why I try to give back to the same people that has help me in my life, and others too if I can. It never hurt anyone to count their blessings, and help someone else in need; the same way someone has helped you. It's always good to give back some of the blessings, that God has showered us with. The bible even tells us to give, and it's not always material things, that's needed. We can give love, care, understanding, charity, all from the bigness of our hearts. It always makes me feel so good to give of my self, because it's always from the heart. I love to spread a little love and happiness around, to someone who need lifting up, or need a permanent smile put on their face.
Giving of ourselves should always be an every day priority for the children of God, without complaining about it, remember God loves a cheerful for giver. Making someone else happy or feeling good shouldn't be a chore, but a genuine privilege and a constant effort on our part. When we get so high in the world, where we don't care about people, and have forgotten where we came from; God have to pull some of us back down, for us to realize our short comings. So, when I say don't ever burn your bridges, it means exactly that, because you just might need that same bridge to get back a cross. This hub is just telling the truth like I see it.
